Torhen GMC Rescue ("the app") helps Shopify merchants find and fix the store-level issues that cause Google Merchant Center "Misrepresentation" suspensions and product disapprovals. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Data we access

• Store identity: your .myshopify.com domain and an OAuth access token, used to authenticate API calls.
• Product data (scope read_products): titles, descriptions, vendor, prices, barcodes, availability and image counts — used to detect data problems that cause Merchant Center disapprovals.
• Store policies and pages (scopes read_legal_policies, read_content, write_content): your published policies and pages are read to audit them, and About/Contact pages are created only when you click Publish.
• Public storefront: the app fetches your public store pages (home, policies, contact, product pages) exactly as any visitor or Google would.
• Settings you enter: annual revenue (optional), used only to check small-producer exemption thresholds.
• Usage counters: number of products classified per period, used for plan limits and billing.

The app does not access customer personal data, orders, or payment information.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app's features: auditing your store against Google Merchant Center policies, drafting documents from the facts you enter, tracking state deadlines, and generating reports for you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (a managed SQL database) on Cloudflare's network, accessed only by the app's Cloudflare Worker. Access tokens are stored securely and used only for Shopify Admin API calls on your behalf.

AI processing

Product text may be sent to Cloudflare Workers AI (and, for premium classification only, Anthropic's Claude API) to infer material categories. Only product text is sent; no customer or order data. These providers process the text to return a classification and do not use it to train models under their business terms.

Retention & deletion

Your data is retained while the app is installed. When you uninstall, we honor Shopify's app/uninstalled and shop/redact webhooks and delete your store's data. You may also request deletion at any time via the contact below.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR/CCPA data-request webhooks (customers/redact, customers/data_request, shop/redact).
